Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test item is considered to be thermaly stable at room temperature.

Additional information

A key study (BASF SE, SIK 16/0086) following the procedure in OECD TG 113 was performed. The sample was observed to undergo three exothermic events during the test with an onset temperature of 70 °C with energy release of 50 J/g, 160 °C and 390 J/g and 275 °C and > 600 J/g, respectively.

A supporting study (BASF SE, SIK 12/1984) following the procedure in DIN 51007 was performed. The sample was observed to undergo three exothermic events during the test with an onset temperature of 75 °C with energy release of 20 J/g, 155 °C and 340 J/g and 280 °C and > 980 J/g, respectively.

In both studies insignificant thermal transformation has occured below 150 °C with energy release < 100 J/g. Therefore, the test item is considered to be thermally stable.
