Vinylmercaptoethanol is assessed as not P/vP as it is readily biodegradable. The substance is not B/vB based on calculated data for BCF and measured log Kow. These data do not fulfil the screening criteria for B/vB substances. Vinylmercaptoethanol is not T as it holds no relevant classification and the available long-term toxicity data do not fulfil the criterion for T substances. The short-term data also do not indicate the screening criteria for T substances.
In conclusion, the substance is considered to be not PBT / not vPvB.
