No increase of the temperature in the test item of 60 °C above the oven temperature and no signs of ignition were observed in the first experiment. Therefore, no other experiments were necessary the test item N-[4-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)thiazol-2-yl]isobutyramide “is not classified in Division 4.2 and should not be considered for classification as self-heating substance according to CLP regulation ((EC) No 1272/2008).”

No observations were made which might cause doubts concerning the validity of the study outcome.

Therefore, the test itemN-[4-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)thiazol-2-yl]isobutyramide should not be classified as self-heating substance.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
N-[4-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)thiazol-2-yl]isobutyramide “is not classified in Division 4.2 and should not be considered for classification as self-heating substance according to CLP regulation ((EC) No 1272/2008.
