Additional information

Short term toxicity to fish:

In a 96-h acute toxicity study, Danio rerio were exposed to test item under semi-static conditions. The 96-h LC50 was determined to be 4.4 mg/L. Overall, it can be concluded that the results indicate that the substance is toxic to fish under the chosen test conditions.

Short term toxicity to invertebrates:

In a 48h acute toxicity study, Daphnia magna (STRAUS) were exposed to test item under static conditions. The 48h-EC50 was determined to be 4.6 mg/L. Overall, it can be concluded that the results indicate that the substance is toxic to daphnia under the chosen test conditions.

Toxicity to algae

In 72-h growth inhibition study Desmodesmus subspicatus were exposed to the test item at nominal concentrations of 0.1, 0.32, 1.0, 3.2 and 10 mg/L. Test concentrations were achieved by dilution of water accommodated fractions. The EL50 and EL10 based on growth rate were determined to be 3.26 mg/L and 0.471 mg/L, respectively. Overall, it can be concluded that the results indicate that the substance is toxic to algae under the chosen test conditions.

Toxicity to microorganisms

In an oxygen depletion study according to DIN 38412-27 the toxicity of the test item to Pseudomonas putida was determined. The EC0 was determined to be 300 mg/L, the EC10 was determined to be 760 mg/L and the EC50 was estimated to be higher than 10000 mg/L.
