Description of key information

In a weight of evidence approach the appearance of the compound is described as follows: 
CRC (2008): White hygroscopic crystals.
Merck (2006): Deliquescent hexagonal prisms.
Supporting data:
EFSA (2009): white, odourless crystalline powder.

Additional information

According to handbook data (Merck index and CRC handbook) and the supporting information stated in the EFSA report selenous acid appears as white, odourless, hygroscopic crystals, prisms or powder. Handbook data considered to be from a trusted source acc. to "ECHA, Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment – Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance" and therefore, the description could be regarded as valid.
