Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

MOBILE PHASES
Mobile Phase A
- Type: methanol / water (purified) 55/45 (v/v)
- pH: put to pH3 with H3PO4 (85%)
Mobile Phase B
- Type: methanol / buffer solution 55/45 (v/v)

REFERENCE SUBSTANCES
- Identity: Urea, Acetanilide, Monuron, Triapethenol, Linuron, Fenthion, Trifluralin
Type:
log Koc
Value:
> 3.9 dimensionless

log Koc > 3.9

The test substance did not elute from the chromatographic column. So the log Koc of Chlorhexidine dihydrochloride is higher than the highest Koc-value of the calibration substances which was Trifluralin with a log Koc of 3.9.

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
The adsorption coefficient on soil (log Koc) of Chlorhexidine dihydrochloride was estimated to be log Koc >3.9.

Description of key information

A GLP adsorption/desorption study according to the EU Method C.19 (Estimation of the Adsorption Coefficient (KOC) on Soil and Sewage Sludge Using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC))

was performed. As a result the test substance did not elute from the chromatographic column. So the log Koc of Chlorhexidine dihydrochloride is higher than the highest Koc-value of the calibration substances which was Trifluralin with a log Koc of 3.9 => log Koc > 3.9

Key value for chemical safety assessment
