Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Validity criteria fulfilled:
- not specified
- Conclusions:
- Long-term toxicity of o-terphenyl to fish. After 21 days exposure, the LC50 is 0.025 mg/L, the LOEC is 0.041 mg/L and the NOEC is 0.0048 mg/L, based on measured concentrations (arithmic mean).
- Executive summary:
The long-term toxicity to Ozyzias latipes was assessed according to OECD 204, in a flow-through test set-up. Fish were exposed for 21 d to increasing concentrations of o-terphenyl (0.0051, 0.0102, 0.0225, 0.045, 0.0941 and 0.2045 mg/L). After 21 days, the LC50, LOEC and NOEC were determined to be 0.025, 0.041 and 0.0048 mg/L, based on measured concentrations (arithmic mean).
