Description of key information
The mass median diameter of the pure dyestuff was 9.9 micrometres. The particle size ranged from 1 to 200 micrometre. However, the dyestuff is not imported into the EU as such, but only as an ingredient of dedusted powdery or granular textile dyes. Therefore, significant inhalation exposure to FAT 40841/A TE is not anticipated for the identified uses of the substance.

The laser scattering /diffraction was the applied method for the determination of the particle size distribution of FAT 40841/A TE.
