Description of key information

The test item reached 7 % degradation after a exposure period of 28 days. Therefore, the test item was considered to be not readiliy biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The biodegradation of the test item was investigated according to OECD guideline 301 B and EU-method C.4-C. The test item was exposed to activated sludge over a period of 28 days, degradation was followed by determining the CO2 evolution. The CO2 production of the test item in the test media corresponded to a mean value of 7% of the TOC at test end. The test item does not reach the criteria for ready biodegradability. Therefore the test item was considered to be not ready biodegradable.
