The solubility of Clearlink 1000 in water was determined using the Shake Flask method similar to OECD guideline 105. This study was conducted in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). Clearlink 1000 is moderately soluble in water.
Based on Clearlink 1000's properties, it is a pH active material. At alkaline pH's, Clearlink 1000 has very low water solubility and in neutral or acidic pH's, the material is very water soluble. Also, as Clearlink 1000 has amine functionalities, it will coordinate with metals in solution thereby increasing the solubility. In this water solubility study, the pH was not fixed and when amines were added to pure water, the pH became more basic. This lead to a lower water solubility.
