PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Persistence:

Reaction mass of CXN1-55 was found readily biodegradable. Substance therefore "not (v)P)".

Bioaccumulation:

Reaction mass of CXN1-55 has a log Kow =< 4.5. Substance therefore "not (v)B".

Toxicity:

Based on the results of a prenatal developmental study (OECD 414) together with the results of a ninety days repeated dose toxicity study, Reaction mass of CXN1-55 is classified as reproductive toxicant category 2 according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures. This implies that Reaction mass of CXN1-55 fulfils the toxicity criterion (T).

Substances are considered as PBT or vPvB substances when they fulfil the criteria for all three inherent properties P, B and T or both of the inherent properties vP and vB, respectively. As the test substance is found not to fulfill the criteria for the properties P and B, Reaction mass of CXN1-55 is not considered PBT or vPvB.
