Results and discussion

Water solubility
Water solubility:
> 0.4 - < 0.64 g/cm³
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
ca. 13
Remarks on result:
other: refractive index determination was applied due to too high water solubility of the test substance in water at 20 °C
Details on results:
The water solubility of the test substance is estimated to be around 0.5 g/mL (0.4 g/mL < Ks < 0.64 g/mL) at 20 °C, based on the refractive index of the equilibrated aqueous solutions and the visual inspection of the investigated systems (e.g. gel formation).

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Very soluble (> 10000 mg/L) in water at 20 °C
The water solubility of the test substance was determined to be around 5 000 000 mg/L at 20 °C, based on the refractive index of the equilibrated aqueous solutions. This determination was carried out in accordance to OECD 105 guidelines.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test material was determined by using the shake flask method of OECD Guideline 105. The substance was completely soluble in water at 20°C. The water solubility of the test substance was determined to be around 5 000 000 mg/L at 20 °C.
