The accuracy of the instrument was checked by determining the melting point of a certified sample of benzoic acid (certified melting point: 123 ± 0.3 °C). The validity criteria respected.

Boiling point determination

First determination: observed boiling point: 292.0 °C

Second determination: observed boiling point: 292.1 °C

Correction to normalized pressure - boiling point: 294 °C (567 K) (Sidney Young correction)

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The boiling temperature of test substance was 567 K (294 °C) at 101.3 KPa.
Executive summary:

The boiling point of the test substance was determined according to OECD guideline No. 103 (method according to Siwoloboff)/ EU A2 guideline.

Two runs were performed and the mean final temperature was retained.

The boiling temperature of test substance, corrrected to the atmospheric pressure, has been determined to be 567 K (294 °C) at 101.3 KPa.
