Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties

Description of key information

According to column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH-Regulation testing does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule. ECH does not contain any structural alerts associated with explosive properties as listed in:

Recommendations on the TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS GOODS, Manual of Tests and Criteria”, United Nations, Appendix VI, table A6.1 (2009).

Therefore testing is not required.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

ECH does not contain any structural alerts associated with explosive properties. Therefore classification and labelling according to CLP (1272/2008/EC) criteria is not justified.
