PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The substance is a salt which is expected to be mainly dissociated under environmental conditions.

The substance is readily biodegradable and is expected to have a low bioaccumulation potential based on the low octanol water partition coefficient and biotransformation observed in the in-vitro biotransformation test using rainbow trout hepatic S9 subcellular fraction.

The substance is not considered to be T based on the available lowest aquatic ecotoxicity results which is the long term daphnia result of 21d EC10 = 192 µg/L with oleyl-1,3 -diaminopropane (CAS no 7173 -62 -8). For classification the observed value is corrected to compensate for possible mitigation by the river water constituents during the long term daphnia study using a factor of 10 which results in an

EC10/NOEC of 19.2 µg/L.

Based on the available information the substance does not fulfill the criteria for PBT or vPvB.
