Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

No positive response was seen in any of the animals tested in the first and second reading in a standardized test for sensitization potential.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
A non-GLP study equivalent to OECD guideline 406 (Guinea Pig Maximisation Test) is available for Ethyl 3-Ethoxypropionate.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In the Guinea Pig Maximisation test no sensitization reaction was observed at all (0/10 animals reacted). According to EU criteria for classification and labelling requirements for dangerous substances as laid down in Annex VI of the EEC Council Directive 67/548/EEC (amended by Directive 83/467/EEC), Ethyl 3-Ethoxypropionate is not classified as a skin sensitiser.
