Abiotic degradation of fatty acids, C5-10 (linear and branched),
tetraesters with pentaerythritol (CAS 68424-31-7) is not a relevant
pathway. The structure of the substance would indicate that
photodegradation might play a role as rapid degradation process.
However, indirect photodegradation in air is not a relevant route since
the substance is not likely to be present in the atmosphere due to the
low vapor pressure. Since the test substance is determined to be readily
biodegradable hydrolysis is not considered to be a relevant degradation
pathway as well.
