Test material

Constituent 1
Reference substance name:
Indium, cake
EC Number:
273-794-1
EC Name:
Indium, cake
Cas Number:
69029-48-7
IUPAC Name:
Insoluble indium-containing residue after precipitation of indium bearing solutions
Test material form:
other: solid
Details on test material:
Sample tested as put on the market. Since the substance is expensive, instead of the 100mm cube sample at 140°C, a 25mm cube sample at 195°C was measured, because this point is in line with the 100mm cube sample at 140°C.

Results and discussion

Relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Key result
Relative self-ignition temperature:
> 195.5 °C
Remarks on result:
no self ignition observed under the test conditions

Any other information on results incl. tables

The maximum temperature reached was 195.5°C at an oven temperature of 195°C. Therefore there was no ignition and the temperature of the sample did not exceed the oven temperature with 60°C.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Test carried out according to standard protocol, test results consistent, thus reliable for concluding on endpoint.
Executive summary:

The substance was tested for auto-flammability according to EC A.16. The maximum temperature reached was 195.5°C at an oven temperature of 195°C. Therefore there was no ignition and the temperature of the sample did not exceed the oven temperature with 60°C. The substance was therefore concluded to be non-autoflammable.
