First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove exposed person to fresh air. If not breathing give
artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult administer
oxygen. Get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Hold eyelides apart and flush with running water for atleast
15 minutes. Get medical attention if signs of irriation
develop.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contamined clothing. Wash with plenty of water for 15
minutes.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Induction of vomiting should not to be necessary. Get
medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, carbon dioxide, foam or dry chemical.
Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon, nitrogen and HCl.

Protective equipment: SCBA, flame and chemical resistant clothing, boots and
gloves
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear full protective clothing: overalls, rubber boots,
gloves, eye protection and respirator when cleaning up a
spill. Collect material to minimize dust generation; use wet
mop, damp sponge or wet/dry HEPA vacuum. Place collected
material into a suitable container for disposal. After clean
up is complete, flush with water to process sewer under
national, state or local permits or regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling: Engineering controls in the form of local exhaust
ventilation are provided at the reactor. When engineering
controls are not sufficient to control dust approved
respirator protection in conformance with EN 136 standard
should be worn. For manufacturing areas, skin protection
should be provided in the form of overalls, or full air
suits along with impermeable gloves. Rubber, neoprene or
other gloves may be required if solvents, corrosives or
other chemicals are present. Chemical safety glasses should
be worn if a full-face respirator is not worn.
Storage: Room temperature acceptable. Maintain low humidity to avoid
clumping.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: UN approved fibre drums.

Danger other than fire: Avoid sparks, heat and/or open flame
Chemical reaction with water: None
Dust explosion: Material exhibits relatively weak to moderate explosion
characteristics if ignited as a dust cloud. Material is
moderately susceptible to accumulating static during
processing and uncontrolled static discharge may result in
igniting a dust cloud under certain conditions. Provide
appropriate bonding and grounding protection to control
static charges. Powder handling equipment such as dust
collectors, dryers and mills may require additional
protective measures (explosion venting).

following local authorities requirements.

closed-cycle incinerator with scrubbers should be used.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Trace quantities can be destroyed by biological oxidation in
a waste treatment plant. National and local regulation must
be observed. Code A 641.
