First-aid measures

Description of first aid measures:

In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

In case of inhalation:

Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult,

give oxygen. Get medical aid.

In case of skin contact:

Get medical aid. Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated

clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse.

In case of eyes contact:

Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower

eyelids. Get medical aid.

Fire-fighting measures

General Information: As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand,MSHA/NIOSH(approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. uring a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. This material in sufficient quantity and reduced particle size is capable of creating a dust explosion. Extinguishing Media: Use extinguishing media most appropriate for the surrounding fire. Use waterspray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide. Special protective equipment for fire-fighters. Autoignition Temperature: 455°C; Flash Point: 172°C

Accidental release measures

Personal precautionsUse personal protective equipment. Avoid dust formation. Avoid breathing dust. Ensure adequate ventilation.Environmental precautions. Do not let product enter drains. Methods for cleaning pick up and arrange disposal without creating dust. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols.Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed. Normal measures for preventive fireprotection.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities.Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering Controls: Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with an eyewash facility and a safety shower. Use adequate ventilation to keep airborne concentrations low.  Additional exposure limits under the conditions of use: Not available.

Exposure controls: Ensure good ventilation and local exhaustion of the working area. Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment Eyes:Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses orc hemical safetygoggles as described byOSHA'seye and face protection regulations  or European Standard EN166. Skin: Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure. Clothing: Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure. Respirators: A respiratory protection program that meets OSHA's29CFR1910.134 and ANSIZ88.2 requirements or European Standard EN 149 must be followed whenever workplace conditions warrant a respirator's use.

Stability and reactivity

Chemical Stability: Stable under normal temperatures and pressures. Conditions to Avoid: Incompatible materials, dust generation, excess heat. Incompatibilities with Other Materials: Strong oxidizing agents, strong bases. Hazardous Decomposition Products: Carbon monoxide, irritating and toxic fumes and gases, carbon dioxide. Hazardous Polymerization: Will not occur.

Disposal considerations

Chemical waste generators must determine whether a discarded chemical is classified as a hazardous waste. US EPA guidelines for the classification determination are listed in 40 CFR Parts 261.3. Additionally, waste generators must consult state and local hazardous waste regulations to ensure complete and accurate classification.
