First-aid measures

INHALATION: Move individual to fresh air. Get medical attention if breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artifical respiration.  Call a physician immediately.

EYES: In case of accidental contact remove contact lenses and rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids for at least 15 minutes.  Obtain medical attention.

SKIN: Wash  off immediately with plenty of eater for at least 15 minutes.  Take of all contaminated clothing immediately.  Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.

INGESTION: If conscious, give the victim plenty of water to drink. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.  Call a physician immediately

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing media: Water, carbon dioxide,  dry chemical.

Unusual fire and explosion hazard: Dust may form explosive mixture in air.  Hazardous decomposition products formed under fire conditions.

Special Protective Equipment for Fire fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.

Accidental release measures

Wear personnel protective equipment to cleanup spill material.  Try to prevent the material from entering drains or water courses.

Cleanup Methods:  Vacuum material with appropriate dust collection filter in place. Be aware of potential for dust explosion when using electrical equipment. If vacuum is not available, lightly mist material and remove by sweeping or wet wiping. Wear protective equipment, including eye protection, to avoid exposure.

Handling and storage

Storage:  Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.  Store in upright position only.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Currently there is no occupational exposure limit assigned to Intermediate 2945989.

Engineering Controls:  Extensive local exhaust or enclosed process equipment.

Respirator selection must be based on known or anticipated exposure levels, the hazards of the product and the safe working limits of the respirator.  Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU).

Eye Protection:  Safety glasses with side-shields conforming to EN166.

Skin and body protection:  Chemical-resistant gloves and impermeable body covering to minimize skin contact.  Protective gloves complying with EN 374.

Stability and reactivity

Reaction with water:  Not water reactive

Chemical Stability:  Stable under normal conditions

Possibility of hazardous substances:  Hazardous polymerisation does not occur

Conditions to avoid:  None known

Incompatible Materials:  strong oxidising agents

hazardous decomposition products formed under fire conditions

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods in accordance with local IPPC licence.
