Glycerine carbonate was concluded not to have explosive properties following a theoretical assessment in a GLP study according to test method EC A.14 (statement) (Younis, 2014).

Glycerine carbonate needs not to be classified as explosive as based on the chemical structure the substance does not contain any chemically instable or highly energetic groups that might lead to an explosion.
