Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The bioaccumulation potential of ‘fattyacids, palm-oil, hydrogenated'was estimated based on the individual constituents using the BCFBAF v3.00 model of EPIWIN[1].

The modeled BCFs for representative fatty acids and glycerides are all below 56.23 L/kg wet weight, indicating a low potential for bioaccumulation. This is expected given that, when ingested, many of these constituents are broken down and used as a source of energy .

The weight of evidence therefore suggests that there will be no significant bioaccumulation of the substance in terrestrial organisms.
