Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance with Section 9.2.1.2, Column 2, Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water need not be conducted if the substance is highly insoluble in water. The directly-measured water solubility of Catalyst 21513 (0.003 mg/L) demonstrates that the substance is highly insoluble in water (< 0.1 mg/L). Therefore, simulation testing in surface water is not indicated.
In accordance with Section 9.2.1.4, Column 2, Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, sediment simulation testing for substances with a high potential for adsorption to sediment need not be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the sediment is unlikely. Since the chemical safety assessment did not indicate the potential for a harmful effect upon sediment organisms, sediment simulation testing is not indicated.
