Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In the key study, the chronic bacterial toxicity of the test substance (catalyst 21513) was tested according to DIN 38412, Part 8 (adopted March 1991). In order to determine the toxic effect of the poorly water soluble test substance against the test system, Pseudomonas putida was subjected to various aqueous extracts up to 10 g test substance per litre. After 16 ± 1 hours of incubation time, the bacterial density was determined in the test solutions and compared with a control solution without the test substance. Under the conditions used in this study, no chronic toxic effect could be detected in the test system with Pseudomonas putida.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to the absence of any toxic effects in the study, values for EC50 or EC10 could not be determined. The highest test concentration in the study (aqueous extracts of 10 g/L of test substance, may be assumed to represent the NOEC.
