Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Classification related key information

Water solubility: < 0.08 mg/L

Biodegradation in water: screening tests: 9% (ThCO2) after 29 days (OECD 301B)

Log Pow: 8.8

Acute toxicity

- to fish: No effects were observed up to the limit of water solubility of the test substance (measured concentration in test media was 0.043 mg/L), Cyprinus carpio (OECD 203, EU Method C.1)

- to aquatic invertebrazes: No effects were observed up to the limit of

water solubility of the test substance (

measured concentration in test media was

0.041 mg/L), Daphnia magna (OECD 202, EU Method C.2)

- to algae: No effects were observed in the range of the water solubility of the test substance (measured concentration in test media was

0.02 mg/L), Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (OECD 201, EU Method C.3)

Chronic toxicity:

- to fish: not available

- to crustacea: not available

- to algae: No effects were observed in the range of the water solubility of the test substance (0.02 mg/L), Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (OECD 201, EU Method C.3).

Classification justification according to CLP

2-[2-(3-butoxypropyl)-1,1-dioxo-1,2,4-benzothiadiazin-3yl]-5'-tert-butyl-2-(5,5-dimethyl-2,4 -dioxo-1,3-oxazolidin-3-yl)- 2'-[(2-ethylhexyl)thio]acetanilide (UY-330) shows no effects in acute tests with aquatic organisms (fish, daphnid, algae) in the range of its water

solubility (< 0.08 mg/L). Nevertheless, since the substance is not rapidly biodegradable and exhibits a substantial potential for bioaccumulation (log Pow 8.80), UY-330 is classified as environmental hazard Chronic Cat. 4 according to the regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP) and the Regulation (EU) No. 286/2011 (2nd ATP).

Classification justification according to DSD

For fish, daphnid and algae, no effects were observed in the range of the water solubility of UY-330 (< 0.08 mg/L).

Based on the data above, the substance is considered to have a substantial potential for bioaccumulation and is not rapidly. degradable. Therefore, UY-330 is classified as environmental hazard R53 according to the Directive 67/548/EEC.
