Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Executive summary:

The test substance ”Guanidinoacetic acid – Mother liquor“ was to be assessed for its partition coefficient. An experimental determination of the partition coefficient following the given methodology is not useful due to the test items composition and the limitation of the recommended method; therefore an estimation based on QSPR calculations and literature was done under consideration of the values given in the literature.

Taken together, the partition coefficient is seen to be below -1.0.

Description of key information

The Partition coefficient was estimated taking data from ECH, experimental literature data and QSAR-Calculations (Chemicalize and Epi-Suite) into account.
