Reference
Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
comparable to guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
reference to same study
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling Point)
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
dynamic method
Key result
Boiling pt.:
215 °C
Atm. press.:
760 mm Hg
Conclusions:
MeFBSA was determined to have a boiling point of 215°C at 760 mmHg.
Executive summary:

The normal boiling point of MeFBSA was determined by the dynamic test method. The study was performed in accordance with an accepted guideline study but not GLP compliant, therefore the study is considered reliable with restrictions.

Description of key information

MeFBSA was determined to have a boiling point of 215°C at 760 mmHg.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
215 °C

Additional information

The normal boiling point of MeFBSA was determined extrapolation of temperature/vapor pressure equilibria measured by the dynamic method. The study was performed in accordance ASTM E1719 but was not GLP compliant, therefore the study is considered reliable with restrictions. A normal boiling point of 206 °C was determined by a similar method. However, since a broader range of equilbria were used in the key study, the extrapolation is considered more accurate.
