Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No boiling point of the substance was observed; thermal decomposition at > 250 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The boiling point of the substance was assessed by means of DSC according to the EU method A.2 and OECD Guideline 103.

Endothermic peaks associated with the boiling of water were recorded between 63 to 178 °C (onset 100.09 °C), between 61 to 178 °C (onset 100.34 °C), between 78 to 143 °C (onset 100.26 °C) in the first, second and third experiment accordingly. The thermogravimetric analysis showed a loss of weight observed between 25 °C and 180 °C caused by boiling of water. Thermal degradation was observed in the first and second experiment between 251 and 314 °C.

No boiling point of the substance was observed. Only the boiling temperature of water was observed and determined (100.23 °C at 99 kPa).
