Conclusion on classification

Acetic acid, oxo-, sodium salt, reaction products with 2-aminoethanol and phenol, sodium hydroxide and iron trichloride (MEAHA-Fe) is not classified for acute or chronic hazards for the environmental compartment because it does not meet the classification criteria of the CLP Regulation ((EC) No 1272/2008).

The acute toxicity data (96 hr LC50 for fish, 48hr EC50 for Daphnia and 72 hr ErC50 for algae) and available chronic toxicity data (21 d NOEC for reproduction of Daphnia magna and 72 hr ErC10 for algae) are all > 100 mg/L.

In addition, the substance has low potential for bioaccumulation based on its low octanol-water partition coefficient (log Kow < -1.5).
