One DSC measurement with a heating rate of 10 K/min in an aluminium crucible with a hole showed three endothermal effects in the temperature range of 50 - 160 °C and an additional multistage

endothermal effect in the temperature range of 330 - 390 °C. No further endothermal or exothermal effects were observed up to the final measuring temperature of 500 °C.

A measurement with the capillary method was performed to clarify the results of the DSC measurements. Since this measurement was performed only as a verifying screening a high heating rate of 10 K/min was chosen and therefore the absolute temperature values derived with the capillary method are not as accurate as the DSC results.

ln the capillary method the test item appeared partially melted starting at approx. 69 °C but did not melt completely. lnstead of that, between approx. 110 °C and 116 °C the test item changed under the formation of bubbles into a white solid.

Final result:

The test item had a no melting or boiling point at atmospheric conditions before decomposition started at approx. 69 °C (presumably loss of water) or respectively at approx. 200 °C (further decomposition).
