Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear protective clothing. Shut off source of leak if safe to do so. Spillage causes slippery surface

- Environmental precautions: Contain spillage by any means possible. Do not allow to enter public sewers and watercourses.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Absorb spillage in inert material and shovel up. Collect as much as possible in clean container for reuse or disposal. Place in sealable container. Seal containers and label them. Disposal should be in accordance with local, state or national legislation. Wash thoroughly after dealing with spillage.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling: Wear protective clothing. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.

- Specific end use(s): The Intended use is industrial and institutional markets.

It is important to note that stored product may contain hydrogen sulphide at over 0.1% and controls must be in place to protect workers if hydrogen sulphide is detected.  Therefore, when opening sealed containers, it is recommended to do so with care and where there is good flow of air away from the operator (eg if indoors, forced ventilation or extract ventilation).  Where this is not possible, personal protection is required suitable to control hydrogen sulphide gas.

Workplace monitoring for hydrogen sulphide is also recommended.
