Description of key information

Aquatic toxicity was determined for 3 species from three different trophic levels: fish, daphnia and algae.

Toxicity to fish (zebra fish) was assessed according to OECD 203. A limit test was performed with a semi-static closed test set-up. The nominal treshold concentration used was 4.31 mg/L prepared as a WAF. After 96h exposure, the LL50 value was determined to be > 4.31 mg/L (calculated as geometric mean of LL0 and LL100; nominal concentration).

Toxicity to Daphnia magna was assessed according to OECD 202 in a semi-static test in a closed system without headspace using 5 WAF's (2017). The EL50 value was determined to be 4.31 mg/L (nominal concentration).

Toxicity to algae was evaluated in one OECD 201 study, using a static, closed test set-up. Algae were exposed to 5 WAF's for 72h. The growth rate inhibition was determined as EL50 = 6.9 mg/L and EL10 = 4.09 mg/L (nominal concentration).
