Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The octanol-water partition coefficient (logPow) for the test substance is in the range from -2.95 to -3.1 at 25 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The octanol-water partition coefficient (log Pow) data has been generated for enzymes from several families. The data published in the cited references comes from 4 different enzyme families and they all have log Pow values in the narrow range from -2.95 to -3.1, indicating high hydrophilicity and low lipophilicity, which is to be expected from non-membrane enzymes. The log Pow for Penicillin Amidohydrolase has not been determined but since it is an enzyme it is expected, with very high reliability, that Penicillin Amidohydrolase also has log Pow values in this range.
