Endpoint:
explosive properties of explosives
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties
Justification for type of information:
According to the Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria (Version 4.1, June 2015), the explosive properties do not need to be experimentally determined because no chemical groups are present that are associated with explosive properties: oxygen and nitrogen atoms are bonded only with carbon. The metal will form stable complexes with the chelating agents but no formal bonds are formed between the metal and the nitrogen.
Moreover, neither the metal ion nor the chelating agents are known to have explosive properties.

Description of key information

No explosive properties are expected based on the molecular structure of the substance

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive
