Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Justification for type of information:
According to the Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria (Version 4.1, June 2015), the oxidising properties do not need to be determined if 'the substance or mixture contains oxygen, fluorine or chlorine and these elements are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen."
Also, all constituents of the reaction mixture have no oxidising properties: the metal is inorganic and the chelating agents only contain oxygen atoms bonded to carbon or hydrogen.

Description of key information

No oxidising properties are expected based on the molecular structure.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising
