The auto-ignition of the test substnce, Terpenes and terpenoids, turpentine oil, beta-pinene fraction polymerised, was determined to be 268 ± 5°C at an atmospheric pressure of 100.7 to 101.7 kPa.
Executive summary:

The auto-ignition of the test substance, Terpens and terpenoids, turpentine oil, beta-pinen fraction polymerised, was determined using a procedure compatible with Method A.15 Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases) of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

The apparatus used was a Carbolite flask heater. The test flask was heated in the flask heater and then aliquots of test material (tested as received) were injected into the flask using a syringe and the flask was observed for signs of ignition over a 300 second period. The process was repeated whilst varying the sample size, if necessary, until it was possible to determine the lowest temperature at which ignition occurs, if any, within 300 seconds of insertion.
