First-aid measures

Description of first aid measures
-General advice: Move out of dangerous area. Consult a physician. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance. Do not leave the victim unattended. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
-In case of eye contact: Small amounts splashed into eyes can cause irreversible tis-sue damage and blindness. Continue rinsing eyes during transport to hospital. Remove contact lenses. Protect un-harmed eye. Keep eye wide open while rinsing. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist. Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.
-In case of skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash off with soap and plenty of water. If skin irritation persists, call a physician. If on skin, rinse well with water. If on clothes, remove clothes.
- If inhaled: If unconscious, place in recovery position and seek medical advice. Keep respiratory tract clear.
- If swallowed: Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Keep respiratory tract clear. Do not give milk or alcoholic beverages. If symptoms persist, call a physician. Take victim immediately to hospital.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Risks: Causes skin irritation.
Causes serious eye damage.

Indication of immediate medical attention and special treatment needed, if necessary
Treatment: For specialist advice physicians should contact the Poisons Information Service.

Fire-fighting measures

Firefighting measures
- Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media: Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local cir-cumstances and the surrounding environment.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Specific hazards during fire-fighting: Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.

- Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus for firefighting if necessary.

Further information: Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contam-inated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in ac-cordance with local regulations.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
- Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment.

-Environmental precautions
Environmental precautions : Prevent product from entering drains.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up: Pick up and arrange disposal without creating dust.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling
-Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Avoid dust formation. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed.
- Advice on safe handling: Do not breathe vapours/dust. Avoid exceeding the given oc-cupational exposure limits (see section 8). Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area. Dispose of rinse water in accordance with local and national regulations.
- Hygiene measures: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Remove contami-nated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
- Requirements for storage areas and containers: Store in original container. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Electrical installations / working materials must comply with the technological safety standards. Keep tightly closed. Keep in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.
- Advice on common storage: No special restrictions on storage with other products.
- Storage class (TRGS 510): 13 (Non Combustible Solids)
-Other data: No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control parameters
Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit values.

Exposure controls
Personal protective equipment
- Eye/face protection: Eye wash bottle with pure water
- Hand protection
Remarks: The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifica-tions of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it.
Polyvinyl alcohol or nitrile- butyl-rubber gloves The suitability for a specific workplace should be discussed with the producers of the protective gloves.
- Skin protection: Dust impervious protective suit Choose body protection ac-cording to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.
- Respiratory protection: Use respiratory protection unless adequate local exhaust ven-tilation is provided or exposure assessment demonstrates that exposures are within recommended exposure guidelines.
- Filter type: Particulates type
- Protective measures: Wear suitable protective equipment. Do not breathe dust. When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
- Hygiene measures: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Remove contami-nated clothing and protective equipment before entering eat-ing areas.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use.

Chemical stability: No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: No hazards to be specially mentioned.
No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use.

Conditions to avoid: No data available

Incompatible materials
Materials to avoid: None known.
