Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Conclusion on Classification:

In the absence of adequate aquatic chronic toxicity information from all three trophic levels, the classification was based on the short-term aquatic toxicity values from laboratory experimental studies available from two trophic levels (72-h ErC50 = 67.8 mg/L in algae, 48-h LC50 > 100 mg/L in daphnids). In the absence of a laboratory study on acute toxicity in fish, the environmental classification was based upon the lower of the two L(E)C50 values for algae and aquatic invertebrates (i.e., the 72-h ErC50 of 67.8 mg/L in algae). The substance has been shown to be readily biodegradable (the key study reported 90.2% degradation in 28 days, meeting the 10-day window), and has an estimated octanol-water partition coefficient of log Kow = 7.95. Therefore, the substance has been classified as Category Chronic 3.
