First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures:
Following inhalation:
In case of accident by inhalation: remove casualty to fresh air and keep at rest.
In case of respiratory tract irritation, consult a physician.
Seek medical advice immediately.
Following skin contact:
Remove contaminated, saturated clothing immediately.
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap.
In case of skin reactions, consult a physician.
Following eye contact:
In case of contact with eyes flush immediately with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes holding eyelids
apart and consult an ophthalmologist.
Following ingestion:
If accidentally swallowed rinse the mouth with plenty of water (only if the person is conscious) and obtain
immediate medical attention.
Do NOT induce vomiting.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
No known symptoms to date.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:
Treat symptomatically
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media:
Suitable extinguishing media:
Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Foam
Extinguishing powder
In case of major fire and large quantities:
Alcohol resistant foam
Water spray
Unsuitable extinguishing media:
Full water jet
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
In case of fire may be liberated:
Carbon monoxide
Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Burning produces heavy smoke.
Do not inhale explosion and combustion gases.
Advice for firefighters :
Use special protective equipment for firefighters.
In case of fire: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Use water spray jet to protect personnel and to cool endangered containers.
Move undamaged containers from immediate hazard area if it can be done safely.
Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. Do not allow entering drains or surface water.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes.
Use personal protection equipment.
Remove all sources of ignition.
Provide adequate ventilation.
Environmental precautions:
Do not allow to enter into soil/subsoil.
Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains.
Ensure waste is collected and contained.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Clear contaminated areas thoroughly.
Absorb with liquid-binding material (e.g. sand, diatomaceous earth, acid- or universal binding agents).
Collect in closed and suitable containers for disposal.
Warning:
Spontaneous ignition possible through autoxidation of cloths soaked in the product.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Wear protective gloves and eye/face protection.
Handle and open container with care.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes.
Wash hands before breaks and after work.
Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.
Provide adequate ventilation.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.
Store in a dry place.
Protect from sunlight.
Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.
Keep away from sources of heat (e.g. hot surfaces), sparks and open flames.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Respiratory protection: If the ventilation is adequate, no individual protection equipment is necessary. If the collective technical protection measures are not sufficient, an adequate protective respiratory equipment (e.g. filter mask) is necessary.
Hand protection: Chemical resistant protective gloves.
Eye protection: Protective goggles.
Skin protection: Wear protective clothing appropriate to the activity, conditions of use and exposure.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity: No expected reactivity under normal use.
Chemical stability: Stable under the recommended handling and storage conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: No expected hazardous reactions under normal use.
Conditions to avoid: Avoid temperatures near or above the flash point. Do not heat closed containers.
Incompatible materials: Keep away from oxidising agents and from highly alkaline or acidic materials.
Hazardous decomposition products: No known hazardous decomposition products under recommended storage conditions.
Disposal considerations
Do not dump into sewers or waterways. Waste and empty containers must be handled and eliminated according to current, local/national legislation.
