Details on results:
The temperature of the water bath remained constant at 20.0 ± 0.1°C throughout the experiment. Under the instrumental conditions presented, the measured reagent water solubility of test item was 6.16 mg/L. The response was consistent for samples collected at both flow rates (1.0 mL/minute and 0.5 mL/minute). The pH was measured for an aqueous sample collected at 1.0 mL/min and 0.5 mL/min (buffered reatent water: 6.63 and 6.50 depending on flow rate; Sample: both flow rates: 6.43)
Conclusions:
The water solubility of test item in reagent water at 20ºC, measured as barium, was 6.16 mg/L.
Executive summary:

The objective of this study was to experimentally determine the water solubility of test item in reagent water at 20ºC using the column elution method. Test was performed in compliance with GLP and according to OECD guideline #105, US EPA Guideline OPPTS 830.7840 and 830.7860.

The water solubility of the test substance in reagent water at 20ºC was determined using the column elution method. The overall mean water solubility for the test item at 20.0 ± 0.1°C, measured as Barium, was determined to be 6.16 mg/L (N=14).

Description of key information

The objective of this study was to experimentally determine the water solubility of test item in reagent water at 20ºC using the column elution method. Test was performed in compliance with GLP and according to OECD guideline #105, US EPA Guideline OPPTS 830.7840 and 830.7860.

The water solubility of the test substance in reagent water at 20ºC was determined using the column elution method. The overall mean water solubility for the test item at 20.0 ± 0.1°C, measured as Barium, was determined to be 6.16 mg/L (N=14).

Furthermore, the calcium sulfonate read across substance CAS 70024 -69 -0 was determined to be slightly soluble based on the water solubility determination of less than or equal to 1.69E-3 g/L of solution at 20.0 +/- 0.5 °C. In addition, the calcium sulfoante read across substance CAS 61789 -86 -4 was determined to be slightly soluble based on the water solubility determination of 1.13E-4 g/L of solution at 20.0 +/- 0.5 °C.
