Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

Description of key information

An EC50 of 330 (biomass) and 1000 mg/l (growth rate) was concluded for aryl sulphonate condensate in a 96-hour aquatic toxicity experiment for freshwater aquatic algae and cyanobacteria. The 96-hour NOEC according to biomass and growth rate was determined to be 100 and 32 mg/l, respectively. The registered substance can be regarded as non-toxic under the conditions of the experiment (CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008).
