 Conclusion

The flash point of the test item was 95.0 ± 1.0 °C (corrected value).

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
A flash point value of 95.0 ± 1.0 °C at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using a relevant test method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable.

Description of key information

Flash point: 95.0 ± 1.0 °C at 1013 hPa (ISO 3679)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
95 °C

Additional information

A measured flash point value of 95.0 ± 1.0 °C at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using a rapid equilibrium closed-cup method in accordance with ISO 3679 Test Method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable.

In secondary sources to which reliability could not be assigned, flash point values of 85 °C and 88 °C at 1013 hPa were reported for the substance with the use of relevant closed-cup methods.

A measured flash point value of 95.0 ± 1.0 °C and a predicted boiling point of 200 °C indicate that the substance should not be classified for flammability in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
