Interpretation of results:
Category 3 (flammable liquids) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The measured flash point of test item is 58.5 °C (corresponding to 331.7 K). The difference between the two values which were measured was below 2 K. For this reason, the determination was considered valid.
Executive summary:

This study was performed in order to determine the flash point of test item according to EU Method A.9, OPPTS 830.6315 and UN Manual Test Methods 32.4, using a Pensky-Martens apparatus.

The measured flash point of test item is 58.5 °C (corresponding to 331.7 K). The difference between the two values which were measured was below 2 K.

For this reason, the determination was considered valid.

Description of key information

The flash point of test item was measured as 58.5°C.

The test item is classified as Flammable Liquid Cat3 according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP regulation).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
58.5 °C

Additional information

A fully reliable experimental study, conducted according to EU A9 guideline, using non-equilibrium method closed cup, is available. It is considered as a key study, and the result is retained as key data.
