Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
March 21, 2014
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
study well documented, meets generally accepted scientific principles, acceptable for assessment
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The solubility is measured using a Crystal16 medium throughput device. The Crystal16 contains four temperature zones, where each zone can be loaded with four HPLC vials (1 mL, magnetic stirrer bar). The temperature within in one temperature zone can be changed between -20 and 100 °C. The turbidity of the solution in each vial is measured using a light beam, enabling the measurement of the presence of crystals. In this way the temperature of solution and nucleation can be measured of solutes as a function of the concentration.
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
other: Crystal16 medium throughput device
