Details on results:
Water solubility standard deviation at 10 °C: 0.003
Water solubility standard deviation at 20 °C: 0.004

A preliminary test was conducted, which showed a water solubility of approx.1.0 g/L at 20 °C.

Water solubility at 20 °C:

Equilibration time measurement 1 measurement 2 measurement 3 mean
 Day 10.58 0.57 0.590.58
 Day 20.58 0.57 0.570.57
 Day 30.57 0.58 0.57 0.58

Since the measured concentrations of Day 2 and Day 3 did not differ by more than 15 % and showed no tendency of increasing values the test results were satisfactory according to the guideline. The mean value of the measurements was calculated.

Conclusions:
The water solubility of the test item was determined at 20 °C as 0.58 g/L with a pH of 3.
Executive summary:

An experimental study was conducted according to OECD 105 and EU Regulation, Method A.6 to determine the water solubility of the test item. The preliminary test showed a water solubility of about 1 g/L at 20 °C. Therefore, the flask method was applied. The water phase was loaded with ca. 5 g/L of the test item. The concentration was determined at 3 consecutive days. The mean water solubility was determined to be 0.58 g/L at 20 °C and a pH of 3.

Description of key information

The water solubility of the test item was determined at 20 °C as 0.58 g/L with a pH of 3 (reference 4.8-1).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0.58 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C
