Chromium complex of 1-phenyL-3-methyL-4-(2'-carboxy phenyLazo)-5-hydroxy pyrazole was subjected on guinea pigs eye in the concentration 0.1ml of 0.1% concentration in a Cremophor EL/water mixture. NO positive ocular irritataion reactions were observed. Hence, Chromium complex of 1-phenyL-3-methyL-4-(2'-carboxy phenyLazo)-5-hydroxy pyrazole was considered to be not eye irritant.
