The granulometric properties of zirconium carbide were analysed by laser diffraction method according to ISO 13320-2009. Therefore, a sample of the test substance zirconium carbide was dispersed in water and Fraunhofer approximation was used for calculation of particle size distribution (PSD). The results of the PSD for zicronium carbide was as follows:

D (v, 0.1) = 1.70 μm

D (v, 0.5) = 4.88 μm

D (v, 0.9) = 9.01 μm
