Description of key information
No longer term toxicity test results with aquatic invertebrates are available for ethylene glycol hexyl ether (EGHE).

Long-term toxicity testing on invertebrates (preferably Daphnia sp.) is a standard information requirement according to REACH Annex IX 9.1.5. The recently proposed REACH amendments indicate that this endpoint is not subject to Column 2 adaptation.
Ethylene glycol hexyl ether (EGHE) is readily biodegradable, has low potential for bioaccumulation, and the risk assessment shows that the PEC/PNEC ratio is <1 in surface water.
