The average water solubility of HFP kinetic dimer is 649 µg/L (RSD=5.9%) at 22.3 °C.

The solubility of HFP Kinetic Dimer in Milli-Q reagent water was determined using a modified shake flask method according to OPPTS 830.7840. Triplicate samples were prepared and incubated for 5, 6, and 7 days at ambient temperature of ~22 °C. The samples were allowed to equilibrate for at least 24 hours prior to analysis in triplicate using a purge and trap gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). HFP kinetic dimer has two (trans, cis) isomers. The average water solubility of HFP kinetic dimer is 649 µg/L (RSD=5.9%) for the trans isomer only. This is a modified guideline study conducted under GLP criteria. The modification did not affect the data quality and was necessary for the test substance due to its low boiling point. Therefore, it is considered reliable with restrictions and a key study.

A water solubility value of ca. 100 mg/L at 20 °C was included in a summary document on substance properties. No other details of the study were available. Therefore, this value cannot be assigned for its reliability and is being disregarded.
